Caring For Your Vape Pen

Pink Boost! Battery vape pen

Caring for your vape pen can be easy and intuitive. In this guide, you’ll learn how to care for your Boost! 510-thread vape batteries and cartridges, or really any 510-thread vape battery. Follow these tips to care for your vape pen battery and get the best experience out of vaping cartridges. With these few tips, you’ll significantly extend the life of your vape battery and keep your cartridges functioning at maximum performance.

The guide below is intended to help you quickly identify if there is a problem and learn of a solution if there is one. Avoid what we call “rookie mistakes” by reading our helpful guide below. Make losing precious oil from your 510-thread cartridge a thing of the past.

1. Avoid Drawing Too Hard (Or Too Often)

Caring for your vape pen battery - allow your vape pen and cartridge to cool down between puffs

We get it, you’re excited! But going for a blinker doesn’t do your vape battery or cartridge any favors. Often when one pulls too hard, the oil from inside the cartridge can become thin and travel up the mouth piece. This comes from constantly heating up the contents of the cartridge and not allowing it time to cool down.

2. Avoid Exposing Vape Battery and Cartridges to Extreme Temperatures

Some like it hot, huh? But we guarantee your vape pen does not. Be sure to keep it in at a good temperature, not too hot and not too cool. If one were to leave their vape pen exposed to excessive heat, such as laying on a blanket during a picnic, or forgotten in the car cup holder, it can get messy. This mess usually includes leaking from the vape cartridge, and we all know that stuff is basically liquid gold! The oil can ooze down onto the battery causing further damage. Save yourself the clean-up and try to keep your 510-thread vape pen away from hot environments.

3. Avoid Exposing Vape Battery and Cartridge to Drastic Elevation or Temperature Changes

This tip piggybacks off of the last one. Heading to the mountains for the weekend? Consider storing your vape pen in a baggie just incase any oil leaks. Elevation and temperature changes can impact the lifespan of your cartridge or vape pen battery. To prevent your vape pen cartridge from leaking, it may be wise to let it sit this one out and pack flower instead, but if you’re up to test it for yourself, we recommend at least keeping it wrapped up as to protect your other belongings.

4. Understand Your Vape Pen Battery’s Voltage Settings

Voltage settings make the vaping experience uniquely customizable to the user. Everyone has their own voltage setting preference, and some save the higher volts for when they are wanting to get skyrocketed to their desired result. Voltage settings are set in place to ensure the longevity and flavor of the attached cartridge. As a standard, the average vape cartridge for vaping oil should not go over 4.0 volts. Our vape batteries make it extremely easy to customize your vaping experience at a double click of a button. The lowest setting offered on our vape pen batteries is 2.7 volts, then goes up to 3.1 volts on the medium setting. Our highest setting is 3.6 volts. We recommend starting off on the lower setting and working your way up to higher settings.

5. Protect Your Vape Pen Cartridge

Like we said, this stuff is pretty much liquid gold and accidentally dropping your brand-new oil cartridge can lead to tears. A crack in the cartridge or battery can be easily avoided by following this tip. We recommend securing your vape pen battery and cartridge in a closable pocket or bag to help ensure its safety. There are products on the market that act as a protective cover that we recommend purchasing if you’re rougher with your vape pen battery.

Following these 5 tips will help keep you smiling and not worrying about your vape pen battery and cartridge. So go ahead, take a puff, but remember to follow this guide to help ensure the lifespan of your vape pen battery and 510-attachable cartridge.
